This is part of the Land of the Free series.
In the Land of the Free there would only be one tax because of the 3 Fundamental Rights of Every Human Being. The people would need to vote every couple years on what percentage of their income should go to these rights based on a vote by the people and not just government officials.
Aside from that the government should not be able to restrict how you use or make your money and where it goes. Except the 3 Fundamental Rights of Every Human Being the economic system would be a capitalist system. Corporations would have no laws governing them at all. They can sell at any price, anywhere, any time, and can sell absolutely anything.
Internationally, you can buy whatever you want at any price. I personally disagree with outsourcing and think it’s a horrible thing, however, if the majority of people agree with me they wouldn’t purchase products from the company that is doing this *cough* Wal*Mart *cough*
The point of this system is that it gives people the true power since, unlike now, companies wouldn’t have any actual political power. If a company is doing something bad, people can shut the businesses down simply by not buying anything from it.
One of my main points I want to make clear is that the government would never bail out any company ever since there is no connection with them. If they crash and burn they crash and burn. If it crashes the entire system then it would be time for a complete refresh anyways since this would mean the system had somehow become corrupted, greedy, or both.
To simplify this entire post, the government would have absolutely no connection with private businesses. The government would have some socialized services which would be the 3 Fundamental Rights of Every Human Being, but these could be privatized by someone and when they were could not be regulated by the government. Finally the businesses would not be taxed, but individuals would be based on what they felt was a good amount to go towards the 3 Fundamental Rights of Every Human Being which would be the only tax.
