“America, land of the free and home of the brave”, but is it? This isn’t going to be a fuck America or an American bashing blog series, but a look at how America could actually become thee “Land of the Free”. In all honesty, I want America to the true land of the free. I want America to be the place everyone wants to come to. I want to be proud of my country, but I’m not.

I’m going to make this a series called “Land of the Free” as it’s far too long for one post. Below are going to be the topics discussed and the first two will be in this post. I might add onto the table of contents as well. As I write them I will update the links in this table of contents to link to the corresponding post.

Overview

So how can America truly become the land of the free? The only real “freedoms” that are obviously stripped away in all cases would be the freedom to physically or emotionally hurt another human being whatever their age. In case for some reason you don’t understand what freedoms would be removed with this law here are some examples: assault, rape, murder, etc.

3 Fundamental Rights of Every Human Being

The following fundamental rights should be provided at no charge to citizens and non citizens. These are rights that every human being should have because it would be morally unacceptable for any person to deny any of these to another. These freedoms, if and when restricted, stunt the growth of all mankind. These should be payed through taxes and can be privatized, but the government must still give a public option. These would be the only things the government would have any control over and the only services that would be taxable. There will be more info about taxes and services in the “Economics” section.

  1. The right to any and all health care
  2. The right to all levels of education
  3. The right to safety (fire, police, road maintenance, etc)
